Announce Winning Family for Home Repair Contest

MILTON, FL – Over 450 votes were counted in the “Majors Helps” Home Improvement contest, but one family clearly stood out. Dawn Stone and family of Milton, were selected as the winners of the 2015 home repair project.  We are seeking volunteers to help with landscaping on August 29, 2015. Please contact United Way of Santa Rosa at (850)623-4507 to be added to the volunteer list.  Majors Home Improvement to install new windows, doors, and vinyl siding.

Beginning in 2014, Majors Home Improvement, in partnership with United Way of Santa Rosa County launched its community initiative, “Majors Helps,” inviting residents to advocate for others by submitting stories for a family in need. United Way and Majors narrowed the applications down to three families who were posted on Facebook for the community to vote on.  The community can follow this family’s project transformation at United Way Santa Rosa County’s site at https://www.facebook.com/Unitedwaysrc or at https://www.facebook.com/MajorsHomeImprovement

“It’s great to see the community stand up and nominate such a deserving family for this project.  We are honored to offer our home improvement expertise to repair their home,” states Mike Majors, President of Majors Home Improvement. This home will benefit from needed improvements which will provide a safer and more energy efficient home.
